What are the odds? It’s a rare occasion when someone has deep enough pockets and enough silver in their tongue to convince me to climb, but that’s what I’m heading out to do this morning. A friend of my uncles is building a new house (mostly done) and decided he didn’t want a bunch of ugly hemlocks leaning towards it…and the rest of the cutting crew was drinking whiskey until a couple hours ago, so I said I’d do that today since we’re not gonna be sawing logs That's what you get for not drinking early and often. I used to love climbing but I am getting old with nothing left to prove, if I could replace myself fully climbing I would.

What do you get for a job like that? PM if you don't wanna say it out loud. I have 2 Maples that gotta go and I have no idea on cost.

If you ask around the coffee shop or bar, eventually someone will say they can come down with a couple more guys and a saw and do it for a case of beer or a bottle. Just make sure you video the event and upload it to YouTube. Instructors can play it in the beginning of their tree safety courses……lol
