Many decades ago I worked a couple summers for Salina Spring & Axle and a couple of the old times in there were purdy savvy. They could bend trailer axles but you have to have a good measurement to know if the axle is worth saving or not. The only was to know if to get a camber and toe end reading. A level can get you close on the camber but you need to scribe the tires and set both down on skid plates built for the front axle of an 18 wheeler to accurately measure toe.

Camber is tricker to measure but is super easy to change on a straight axle with wedges that go between the axle spring perch or mount and the spring itself.

For the prices AG is quoting, it might not be worth repairing if it is off much- slap a new one under there and be done with it.

What"s good for me may not be good for the weak minded.
