how large is the item

if small , stuck in a corner of the truck and every time they scan the trailer it logs in as being at the new location.

if big , it's gone some one took it off the truck it didn't scan maybe they figure it out maybe it is stolen.

we have had items make it around the country 4-5 times then finally arrive a month late usually those were small items.

I ordered 3 gallons of trans fluid on amazon because it was a heck of a deal on Valvoline

I bet they dropped that one it was on time on time , stopped moving , reshipped the jugs I got had like 10 leak seal strips around each cap

you would think if something didn't make it off the truck at the intended location it would red flag and some one should check the trailer
what seems like is that they hope it will get off the truck at the next stop and get redirected
the reality is if they didn't see it at the first or second , it is jammed in some where and about the 5-6 time it shows with the same trailer they might send someone to look for it.

they probably figured how much time would be spent looking vs just letting it ride around hoping it is seen.

We ship 2000+ boxes per year. We have seen a dozen hops across he country a couple of times every year. Had one going 2 states away end up in Germany and get stuck. We shipped a replacement and had the original returned to us as undeliverable 6 months later.

But...they do usually get it right and on time.

Yep those packages go around the world sometimes. Doesn't seem efficient but they seem to get the items to the receiver eventually.

Can blame the biden time for the mess.

fed ex and ups do the same thing , stuff gets stuck in a trailer and you watch it circle for days to weeks

I think more of a , one package matters less to them than keeping the rest moving on the least resources they can , which would actually be considered efficiency.

Sorry miss read as UPS, but I did get it fixed this morning after I straightened them out that I was not going to pay double
for shipping back to my home overnight, the lady said oh I see what went wrong, thanks Mam !!

Mailed 2 Flat Rate Priority Mail envelopes on Feb 3 in Fairbanks.

One took 46 days to arrive in NJ. The other one has NEVER been found.

And soon we will be paying even MORE for the crappy service!

Had a order shipped out of Broadus MT. (guess who wink )....It was trekking fine to Kansas City, Mo, then to Indianapolis, In, then to Evansville, In.

Then things went sideways on a mis-shipped location and the package sit at Hickman, Ky for a few days, then forwarded to Paducah, Ky where I attempted to intercept but no cigar, Hickman P.O. didn't flag it, so back to Evansville In, where it sit for the weekend.

Finally delivered a week late, and surprised it even made it here.

Postal service needs to be privatized, IMO.

I could show you similar tracking info from UPS......or especially Amazon.....not really sure what your point is.....other than to complain online.....call the USPS or the company that shipped the item....maybe they entered a bad shipping label

Printed a label on Pirate Shipping yesterday to ship out 3 ECU computers to be repaired. UPS was a couple bucks more than USPO so I paid the extra to go with UPS way more reliable.

I bought one of Lee Steinmeyer' fleshing knives (super knife by the way) last year. USPS also ran it around the country for two weeks. I finally got it. They are a joke.

everything in WI goes to MKE or the cities for sorting. even if you send a letter one city over , all the way to a regional

had a suspicions package a few years ago , post office reported it to local pd and they called the postal inspector as well as the recipient it was to be deliver too

he was a trapper they didn't know that till he called back and said , ahh yeah I bet a jar of lure broke open and he drove to the PO and they set it in a different box he took it outside and opened it and sure enough

PD had called and left a message for the postal inspector , 3 days later got a call back
only one postal inspector for all of the upper Midwest stationed in the twin cities MN apparently

I know there is more than one Postal Inspector in MN. I talked to 2 of them at once !

By the way, they don’t like being called Pinkerton’s !

all I have is what the police chief reported , makes you realize IF something bad ever goes down , it will be all local boys and girls dealing with it till the feds see it on the news and decide they want to get involved.

Sent a turkey barrel to GA to get camo dipped by way of Cali somehow it sat in Cali for a few days but did make it to GA eventually, that was UPS but a rare occurrence compared with the PO.

Just this week I mailed 60 bullet stake ends and chain links to somebody to weld them up for me. Mailed it usps priority flat rate medium box. It was very well taped up and packed tight with paper and even en extra cardboard bottom. When he got them 4d of the bullets are missing and box retaped. Awful service.

Solution. Every tman member put a recently deceased muskrat in a box and mail it a couple hundred miles away.. Usps has 2-3 days before they notice of their ways.

Six weeks before her wedding, my daughter sent wedding invitations out. Her aunt lives 300 miles away in the same state. She mailed a thank you from the shower, and the invitation at the same time. She used address stamps from a computer program so she only had to type them in once. Her aunt received the thank you, but not the invitation. We got the invitation back a week or so later and said no one there at that address. My wife talked to the local postmaster, confirmed the address with her sister, and was told they were correct. She sent a second invitation out immediately and we went on with life. She texted that she got the invite today. My daughter's wedding was almost three weeks ago.
