Great time was had by all! Good turnout and while I was not able to watch any, I heard the demos were great. As usual I think I bought more than I sold but it's all good stuff! Always a great time spent with MuskratWalt, Muskrat, and Macthediver made an appearance! Trap Setter and Mad Scientist, as well as others from the Trapperman family (I am tired enough to not remember everyone's; names) rounded out the crowd. I was pleasantly surprised to see the number of vendors and tailgaters! Thanks for those who braved the heat! I even got a "Turok, Son of Stone" comic book delivered for Turok by MuskratWalt, who apparently is an acquaintance or distant cousin of Turok. Thanks, Walt!
This is a year of change. Jordan Sell is taking over the reins of WTA D5 and I think he will do a great job. Jim Gordon put in a lot of work as District Director for 17 years but figured it was time to retire. WTA gave Jim a nice plaque to thank him for his service. D5 has a good core group that move back and forth as Officers and support the activities really well.
Next year's WTA D5 Rondy is scheduled for June 27 and again at Arctic Springs/Firemen's Park. Really a nice venue and I think we got luck with no high water given the amount of rain we have gotten this week.
As always, D5...nicely done! If anyone else can add to a this, please do. This fat old Possum Lover had a great time but needs to get a little sleep in the AC.
