Pete in Frbks OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Fairbanks, Alaska	Now that there are large fires burning in virtually any direction from Fairbanks, we are subject to smoke pretty much full time. Lots of evacuations going on as well. Official Notice: I retired from Fire Information work last summer. I'm no longer working for either DNR or AK Fire Service! There is nothing to be learned from calling ME! Call the regular Fire Information numbers! Pete

I’ve done the double buck a few times, these days I stick to the stock saw or hot saw competitions. Crosscut does give a guy respect for the guys who had to use them everyday before the advent of the power saw.
