We have a back yard fox in town. He's pretty mangy right now. At times we leave meat trimmings or whatever to help with feeding pups. I see him in my yard once or twice a week.

Could meat scraps (hotdog pieces?) have Ivermectin tablets inserted to treat the condition?

I know some wildlife agencies have medicated K-9s with treated baits before I think it was rabies but meds are meds it should work. I worm the critters around here with cattle deworming meds often with no issues.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

The injectable 1% ivermectin would probably work better, but could kill the pups if he regurgitated it for them. Once the pups are older, 1/10 to 1.5/10ths of a cc would work.

Bob, I’ve seen, with my own eyes, coyotes recover from the mange. Large patches of what was bare, blue skin, had their fur regrown. Wish I had taken pics of it, but back then, no one had a cell phone in their pocket!

Notice that I said coyotes. It is my opinion that fox are dead if they get close to it, they just may not know it!
