This is when it becomes extremely difficult to follow JESUS.. when you have people who are mean and just plain rotten to the core. I don’t know how JESUS did it,, I know he was the messiah, but he still was human.
We ain’t even sposed to think about the things that we think would be rightful justice.
Ain’t saying I’m perfect, because like Savell said,, there’s things I’d like to do that I’d rather not mention.

There is indeed evil in this world.
And directed hatred towards Christian children who lost their lives is evident.
To quote rod Serling “ the greatest trick the devil ever did, was to convince men that he didn’t exist “

Stand by your principles, Stand by your guns, and victory complete and permanent is sure at last.

It isn’t difficult to follow Jesus. He said that those who follow HIM will be hated. If you are hated by them, you are doing something right. All you can do is follow Jesus and love those who will persecute you because you are a follower of Christ.

None of us are perfect. But we are washed in the blood of Christ and our sins are washed away. We are called to follow Him and that is what we will do.

Keep your head up and pray for the salvation of the lost.

Pray for all those that lost their lives in Texas. Pray for everyone. Live your life to honor our Lord and Savior.

I’m not sure who said it, but it goes something like this. Live your life close to Jesus because you may be the only Bible some people ever read.

Jesus said to love your enemies. Pray for people of all kinds whose lives are lost in hatred. Don't be one of them by hating back.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Says who? Didn't Jesus let one of his followers have his neck snapped when it got to the end of the rope? Didn't Jesus believe in "rightful justice"?

Romans 12:18 is a verse to remember when dealing with those who are truly vile.

I pray for the families impacted by this tragedy and for those on the search and rescue teams. Honestly, I don't think I could make it past finding the first little girl.........I know the Lord will ultimately use this for His glory and I pray stories of refreshing and strengthening can soon come. I pray for the liberals to have changed hearts and God to open their eyes and ears and let them learn. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Gods chosen nation. Above all I pray that Jesus leads us and our nation and we listen.

The God you claim to worship cares about them. And he commands you to love them, if you view them as your enemy.

Was Jesus referring to Satan when he said to love your enemies? Let's not be dense. He was referring to people that you consider your enemies.

From my perspective that part of Texas is dry, arid most of the time. Creeks are what I call dry washes. The ground has little if any absorbancy for rain. When it rains that hard it is almost unimaginable how the creeks and rivers transform. I watched some videos of water going over the Slab by Kingsland which was incredible and they were not even in the heart of the storm. Even with advanced warning I can see how people could still be in harms way.

Sometimes I figure you should love your enemy as Jesus loved the money changers. I reckon the only question is that if mocking the death of children is worthy of such love.

Hobbie,
I appreciate how you play the Devils advocate. Im serious, not mocking. The questions you ask get peaple to thinking, what does this really mean. Paul says in Romans we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
Meaning not the person we wrestle against but the influence that holds that person in bondage. Wich includes ourselves. This is why we need to put on Christ = the armor of God.

Jesus loved (loves) them enough to die for them, just like he died for us (he died for us while we were sinners, per romans 5:8) We also that Jesus loves the whole world (John 3:16). And per the section I shared earlier, we're supposed to be perfect like Christ is perfect (obviously we can't, but we should try). So if Jesus loves them, so should we.

My point loosegoose is that love isn't always nice. Spare the rod comes to mind. Might not be what you would like to do but is necessary to correct the destructive nature of the tounge.

It might be helpful to realize that Jesus wasn't saying you have to feel loving towards hateful people. Agape love isn't about feelings. Think about what kind of bondage a person must be in to cheer the death of kids. Of course I think we should also have compassion for immigrant kids getting put in cages. Too often compassion is politicized.

If someone wants to defend / forgive/ love the evil scum that cheers the death of little girls because they are Christians go ahead. I won't be joining you and yes I will think less of you.

Just as I think less of public figures who turn out to harm children.
Did JP have a bad reaction to the Ivermec or did his brain git frostbit last winter?

I don’t think anyone is defending those individual’s actions, just see more God than evil.

I’m not going to get this exact but if I may?

I ask myself all the time, “How big is God?” We see the tragedy of this event and the heartbreak. That was a Christian Camp and those were Christians. They belonged not to themselves but to God. Yes, families are suffering but they are so because of dreams and expectations of the future with those loved ones. The individuals “cheering” their deaths are obviously lost and perhaps after reflecting on their “cheering” have come under conviction and are now, or in the near future, begin a search for peace that leads them straight to their knees and Jesus. Would God do that just to humble one individual and bring them into the flock?

That is what the love and praying is for. We all are/were lost, for some, it takes a toothpick to humble, for others a Sequoioideae
