I like these because they shoot just like the standard Velocity I shoot targets with and are a bit less noise from the pistol less noise but still effective is nice when you are shooting in buildings.

when I get a Can they will be even less noise , it will be happening 2026

next favorite is the Mini Mags segmenting https://www.cci-ammunition.com/rimfire/cci/mini-mag-segmented-hp/6-36CC.html

the hollo point mini mags are good as well

all of these have had very low rates of duds

can use about anything but so frustrating when the bulk pack stuff goes click not bang.

these all run equally well in the 10/22 . MK1 MK2 MK3 , and of course almost everything runs in the wrangler

I have had some issues with cycling of the 36gr ammo in the MK 1,2,3

only hang up on the wrangler I have had is that some of the Remington pre Federal ownership of Rem would have fat bullets or be dirty enough that extraction and loading became an issue and more often than the other ammo , had to clean the cylinder well , 22 brush in the chambers would resolve that until it got gunked up again.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Every .22 LR I've ever had shoots Federal Lightning and Fed Target very well and also CCI Green but its pricey.
My Rugers always shoot the Mini Mags well but they prematurely wear out the buffer blocks on my Marlin 60s.

As far as the Remington green and yellow label I've twice had so many duds I assumed it was a weak firing pin but when I switched back to my preferred ammo both rifles were fine.

For the trapline I use shorts and CBs.

shared experience I don't think it is a firing pin issue at all , I think that their process to make cheap bulk ammo didn't involve spinning the priming compound as long into the rim.
that is part of the CCI process.
I could often eject them turn 180 degrees and put back in and it would fire
Which is absolutely useless when you needed it to fire because you had one good opportunity to take that shot and it is now over.

That might well explain what I was seeing Pete.
Whenever there is a shortage and a buddy of mine whimpers and whines I hook him up with the Rem golden boy stuff I never shoot.
Winchester works good for me but the Fed patterns best in my guns.
