I hate to ask if it can get any worse because it probably will, rates skyrocket, the service is worse and they keep losing more and more packages. Packages with tire tread marks on them, they run them over and then say you did not package it properly? Beware of the postal service!

I feel your frustration Scott. We deal with the same aggrivation on a regular basis. Just lost another package a few days ago. No one knows what happened to it. Even had a tracking number for it.

Even mailed letters a couple states away are taking over 10 days sometimes. Used to be 1 or 2 days.

what do you EXPECT of a USA monopoly

I have been using Pirate Ship and have not lost a package to date.( use UPS only)

You use UPS - this thread is about the USPS. Pirate Ship is a computer program, not a physical shipping service.

I recently mailed a package from Iowa to Kansas on July 3rd. The distance was roughly 350 miles. It took 15 days to get to KS. For 10 of those days, the package was "In Transit to Next Facility." My local PO couldn't even tell me where the package was when I checked on it.

So, I agree with Lee, "USPS….they suck!"

I'd like to be able to blame it on Biden but unfortunately..the issue started sooner. I mailed a money order for a deposit on a pup 12 years ago. Bought the money order, filled it out and handed it to the clerk. It still hasn't arrived. No idea what happened to it.
My grandfather retired from the USPS in the late 60's and held the firm belief that if you dropped a letter in any mailbox before noon today and was addressed to any place still in the US; it would be delivered tomorrow. And it usually was. That was at a cost of what?? 8 cents? Now, it's all computerized, the cost is closer to 80 cents and they can't get it there in a week.

A lot of these issues are caused by recent “upgrades” I have come to fear the term upgrade! LOL

First class letter from Ohio to ID took10 days. Ohio to PA takes 5 days

The record for me Oh to MS 15 days

All first class letters. Only getting worse. And more expensive!!!!!!!!
