I am all for gender affirming care. Someone that thinks their body is the wrong gender needs mental health care to affirm (ie: accept) their born gender. Gender reassignment surgery is a medical abomination. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. What happened to "First do no harm?"

There's a glaring problem with the "tolerance" of adult perversion that is not being mentioned at all.

Biology

Male fecundity persists well into maturity and old age.
Female fecundity actually begins earlier than male but persists for only a limited period fading into middle age.

Biologically this places the higher value on younger females or youth in general. While males face much less restrictions due to age.

Left to nature sexual activity would by default place the youngest in the most desirable class.

It is only by the adoption of societal mores as exemplified by the judeo-christian principles of monogamy for life of one woman-one man that the base animalistic desires that is harmful to the individual and antithetical to the establishment of a civilized society are curbed.

To "tolerate" any sort of adult behaviors will always leave the door open to a slide into antisocial pedaristic behaviors.

I would further opine that the separation of the sexual act from it's biological purpose and consequences through birth control, abortion, no fault divorce, etc has also led to proliferation of a great and destructive abuse of the individual and societal civilization.

The problem is that for the most part, most of the kids are being talked into being trans. By either their parents(generally by the mother), teachers, guidance counselors and friends. There's not that many that come by it on their own without some sort of coercion. That's why its called a social contagion. Once the hooks are planted, its near impossible to remove them. States are now taking kids away from parents if they refuse to go along with it. Doctors are threatening parents with the lie that their kids will commit suiicide if they dont go along with it. Judges during divorces are giving the affirming parent full or mostly controlling custody of the kids of the non-affirming.

What's scary is the normalization of "affirmation" among otherwise sane adults, many directly tasked with the protection of the vulnerable.

People who a decade ago would consider certain acts to be criminal now religiously toe the party line and would criminalize dissent.
