I have a bunch of old CI skillets, flat pan and Dutch oven from 3 generations. Use it regularly. Also a newer Lodge pan and Dutch.

It's great for bacon/eggs and pancakes.
If I'm baking a quick frozen pizza, I'll preheat that flat skillet in the oven and slide the pizza onto it to cook. Then pull the whole thing out sizzling away!

I have a Wagner #10 Skillet that dates to 1915..and those older pans

Are a lot lighter than the pans of the late 30's & 40's
