I won a Stoeger .410 O/U in a card raffle one time. It was the worst patterning.410 I’ve ever seen. I hunt rabbits with a .410, a lot. I own 2 870 .410’s and a 42 Winchester. I know how a .410 should pattern. You absolutely couldn’t kill a rabbit with that Stoeger past 20 yards. Got rid of that thing like a bad habit.

Lol, should have expected that I reckon…….
We shoot .410’s at rabbits running in front of the beagles for safety more than anything. A .22 zinging through at ground level through the brush has a butt pucker factor of 10 for me. Dogs and folks getting clipped ain’t worth it. It’s hard to shoot up a rabbit with a .410 with #4’s.

Second vote for the Stevens 555. Not a Purdey or H&H, but pretty decent shotgun for the money. I own three .410, 28, and 20.

I have a Mossberg Silver Reserve 28ga that I use for small game like rabbits and squirrels. It is non expensive and it sometimes doubles as a walking stick. I don't worry about scratching or dinging it up because it is a hunting gun. Shells are easy to come by. Its a good compromise for hunting.
If I am shooting clays at the club then the Benelli 828U Sport comes out. the Berettas are hard to beat and are fantastic long lasting guns, there is a guy at the club who has 64,000 rounds out of his DT11. You get what you pay for

I’ve got an ATI Turkey Fowl .410 O/U. The action is a little tight but patterns great out past 40 yards with #9 TSS loads and x-full Jebs head hunter chokes. Patterns good enough for squirrels and rabbits with regular #7 lead.

Mossberg Silver Reserve .410 is a nice gun. I have killed a pie of game with it. Stoegers are way too heavy for my liking.
