I have no doubt that Clyde had a rough go in a southern prison in those days.
Those were different times. Some ways for the better and some ways for the worse.

Isn't Huntsville where Texas has death row?

Not like that here, but I believe it's because I weren't born and raised in this neck of the woods. When I first moved here I was told deer season for this area was only closed on Easter Sunday. Might be a reason for the deer club paranoia.

Death row is in Livingston now at the Polunsky unit. They haul them to Huntsville to run the needle to em. The old Death Row was on Ellis 1. I worked on Death Row for almost 3 years until I went to LE.
