Not a mutt. But, he is waiting for me to throw something so he can go get it.

All 3 of mine doing the same thing. Waiting for 4:30 to go hunting.

My two labs spent the night like they always do, taking turns sleeping on the dog bed in my bedroom. There's one dog bed in the bedroom and another in the in the living room. They both prefer to sleep in the same room as me so when one gets up to patrol the house the other immediately hot-racks it and steals the bed.

The young female, who is way smarter than the old male and the dominate dog usually gets her way. The old guy would see me getting ready for bed and head for the dog bed early. When I get in there he'd be relaxing and the female would come in and stand next to me to be petted. Petting her males the old dog jealous so he'd get out of his bed to get in on the action and she'd immediately jump in it. LOL

It too about a dozen times until he finally figured out the ruse and stopped falling for it.

My old male lab gets rammy sometimes and likes to run off at night. I put a stop to it by putting his e-collar with bright lights on him. This morning about 4:45 it was still pretty dark because of the overcast. They usually don't ask to be left out until I get up about 6:00. I could tell he was in the mood to roam so I put his "headlights" on him.

Me and both dogs went out on the deck. The young female did her usual thing; stood at the bottom of the steps surveying the property looking for a deer or other critter to run off. The old male, realizing the gig was up didn't even go down to pee/run off. He just stayed on the deck until I was done peeing and we all went back inside.

After ten years, I've got him figured out.

The mutt and the wife’s doodle go at it play fight often it’s good for them it keeps them both in shape we just need to reel them in when they get too frisky like 2 free range kids.

They have a bunch of toys but usually it one toy at a time, the old “that’s the one I wanted it’s mine story”. The mutt came from a litter of 9 pups so she try’s to eat accordingly but no need to scarf her food now but it’s a learned habit. The wife picked up this puzzle bowl to slow her down but she was sick the other night she ate too quick then drank too much water. So along with the new bowl she’s getting fed 4Xs a day in smaller amounts to help digestion.

The way she was whimpering around with that stomach ache I thought she swallowed a plastic bone they chewed down to a smaller size but alls good now.

I thought the bowl was stupid but it takes her way longer to eat now if she would only chew the food it would be better. LOL

it was 60 last night , she wasn't going to come in , she likes the cool nights

Husky Pyrenees mutt 70 in the house is only good if it is hotter than that outside.

the only issue I get with this is that on nights when people walk home from the bar , if they are talkative or stop she has to let me know so then I have to go shine a spotlight in some drunk guys face , all they need to do is keep quiet and walk on the other side of the road. you can't get too close to her yard.

My 13 year old (semi-retired from chasing bears...) Bluetick, Tucker, is watching hunting shows on TV.
