July 8th l ordered several lures from Kansas Trapline Products so l could test them and others prior to this season. I was notified my order was received and l would be notified as soon as it was shipped. By July 13th l had not gotten any notice that my lures had been shipped. I sent an email asking where the order was. Mr. Schneider replied that he was busy with his produce market and would ship my order the first thing the following Monday morning.Giving Ed Schneider the benefit of the doubt l waited and waited. l finally called this last Friday August 22nd. to see what was going on. He answered the phone and l told him who l was and l was trying to find out what was going on with my order. He asked if he could call me back at 4 pm.
Mr. Schneider called shortly before 4 pm. and he said he had been really busy with crops for their produce market. I explained that l ordered the lures when l did this summer before trapping season.for testing. He said he doesn’t get many lure orders in the summer and he stays really busy with farming. He pulled up my order and said he was sorry for the delay but would ship them Monday (yesterday) and would send me the shipping notice. He even offered to send me some more lure to make it up to me. I told him that l wasn’t worried about that because l did not want to cost him anything, l just wanted my lures l ordered and paid for. He again said he would make sure it would go out Monday and he would contact me.
Needless to say l have not received any calls, emails, smoke signals or messages by carrier pigeon. I have never had any problems with orders in the past so l don’t get it. This is a poor way to do customer service, especially on a return customer
So if anyone is planning on ordering anything from Kansas Trapline Products just be aware of my situation and don’t make the mistake l made. I won’t make this mistake again! I’m currently mulling over several legal recourses l have available to me. I have forgotten most of the federal statutes l used from time to time but the felonies of mail fraud, obtaining property by false pretenses seems to make me feel warm and fuzzy!

All 3 of those have outstanding service and ship mega fast. On my own list I think Bob Jameson and Schmidt Enterprises are great too.
I hope Ed gets this made right with you. I've used a couple of his products and they were great.

l really dont expect him to step up to the plate I'll be one who steps up and bats for the guy since no one else it. Yes, I understand the frustration. I have been in this situation, and it sucks. You never know what someone is battling on the home front. ALSO, you never know if something is out of their control. I used to own a business, and when the website browser host switched, all of my orders started going into my spam folder rather than my inbox. Needless to say, I was playing catch up for awhile for a lot of angry customers. He is going to make it right for you. He makes a good product and from conversations with him in the past at conventions, he is a very genuine guy. If you happen to like his products but have a bad taste in your mouth going forward from this experience, I recommend Cumberlands Northwest Trappers Supply. They carry his products, you can order online, and they ship VERY quickly. I ordered something on a Sunday evening around midnight and received it Tuesday evening.

Unfortunate situation but I'm betting Ed will do his best to try to make it right with u. Ed is a hard worker and a square guy. Im not sure what his situation is but my guess is he'll make it right with u. He runs a rather large produce farm, just him and his wife I believe.

If you have never ran a vegetable stand, market garden, truck garden, U-pick patch or the like, you have no idea the amount of work and stress that goes into it this time of year. Cut a fellow trapper a little slack. Ed will come through, he has always done right by me. Agreed and agreed.

Just my 2 cents but if he can't handle orders due to other commitments then he shouldn't be taking orders. Poor business practice no matter how good your product. Trappers are a pretty impatient bunch anyway and a good way to lose future business. Just this thread alone would keep me from ordering from him. Not making excuses for him as I don't know the situation but i feel confident he didn't plan it that way. I dont know if u farm but it doesn't always go as planned and im sure hes got a ton of orders on that end too.

I was surprised to read this thread. I always had the impression that Ed was a straight shooter. I have talked to him several times and various conventions over the years. He has even donated some of his baits/lures for our auction sale at our convention and posted on our FB group page.
I also know Leary and if he said it, it happened, no question about it!
From early July until the 3rd week of August for a paid for order not to be shipped and no explanation is not acceptable. And after they talked on Aug. 22 and a commitment was made and it did not happen is even more unacceptable than the initial delay.
It just seems out of character.
I know some others in the trap supply business that do not take orders during certain time periods. And if Ed's other business is demanding all of his time, he should not be taking orders that he can not fill in a timely manner.
