backroadsarcher trapper B Joined: Nov 2012 Frazee, MN	Minnesota I believe in states where it gets freezing lure choice changes during the season. But like Seldom stated it can change every year especially with coyote. Our cat season is late so something on the louder side like Gusto has worked for me. Coyote I have a few I go to. Yodel Dog, Gusto or even an old time favorite Hawbakers Coyote 100, or a friend makes one with all coyote glands that works also. Beaver for bait on the cats or I pick up road kill deer and save all the scrap from butchering deer for the use in blind sets. Last edited by backroadsarcher; 08/31/25 08:04 AM.

Broadaxe7 trapper B Joined: Aug 2025 Vermont	In Vermont, I’ve had fairly good luck with Hiawatha Valley and a touch of gusto. Works on both coyotes and cats.
