its not so much the guns but leftist ideology that's the issue. American isn't as far left as the UK and Europe yet with exceptions of a few countries.

Leftist ideology has its home in the Democrat party.
Too many Democrats rationalize the extreme leftism of the democrats and justify a vote for them as they think they are for the working man or they have too much empathy for the "marginalized" or the republicans are worse.
Decades of media and popular culture bashing R's has propped up this thought.
I see alot of working class people now changing to the R's tho, Trump is to thank for that, his America first policy.
As of now the D's are the party of the rich, poor looking for hand outs and brainwashed youth, brainwashed thanks to our education system.

No rational person can justify the D's support/coddling of criminals, illegal aliens, sexual mutilation of children (trans), destruction of the nuclear family and anti-business policies. None of these are good for America.

Not to say the R's are perfect, but they are easily better than the D's at this point in time.

Better hope the pendulum continues to swing back to the right for a while at least.

The next election is very important. Who is running for the D's is our good friend (ha ha) AOC is a big contender with a huge following. Now if that is not scary I don't know what is. For the reps, we have Desantis, Rubio and Cruz. I sort of like Cotton best from Arkansas. Vavce does not impress me

Vance doesn't impress me either. I would be OK with the first three you mentioned, though.

I will leave specific politics out of this, but there is one political party in the USA whose champion and goal is a sick form of dystopianism.....and everyone knows which party this is.
