The less leather can make the finished product weak. It is not the hair that holds the product together. This can be helped by gluing a backing.

Was that to GFW? The GFW Canada buyers don’t want summers.

here there's not much difference between summer skunks and fall skunks, here the belly real never gets good, I've been watching for years, the spring early spring are the best imo

Putting up this thawed one on the left tonight, it was taken last night. The two frozen ones on the right are mid August skunk, will try tomorrow.
See how much has changed compared to the August 1 skunk I put up. Fur looks good.

Shakey, your phone should have a resize option somewhere in the edit menu. Can make them smaller that way. Or take screenshots of the pic, those are smaller resolution.

Nice looking skunks.

Did I read it right that skunks averaged over $70 according to the market report in Trappers Post?

Being old is when you don't care where your spouse goes, just a long as you don't have to go too.

Not to be disrespectful but you are way behind on fur market news. This has been the “talk of the town” since mid June. Mu,triple posts on multiple forums and web pages.

Read up on Monopoly. It has an interesting history. Someone invented it and it was a pirate game in peoples homes (a home made game) before someone commercialized it. There were lots of differen't versions. You used to make it to reflect the life around you, not wallstreet. Something like that anyway.

I wonder if you didn't play on one of those and just thought it was regular monopoly like today.

Skunk is Nov 10 here, same as everything else. Where is the best skunk handling post? Where are those glands and how do you not dose yourself? I thought they just wanted the tails I saw on here, you guys are finishing them all the way out?

They say this is probably the best one out there…….lol
It was hot as eff in early August and I hate wasps. Some cut out the pods while skinning. I don’t recommend pulling the essence with a needle before skinning unless you like everything smelling like skunk. Do it after outside or carefully cut the pods out. I just draw it out with a 22g needle and toss the carcass into the bait pail destined for the wolf bait pile. The tiny droplet that’ll come out when pulling the needle, or the droplet at the eye of the needle is enough to evacuate a garage, so just do it at the end outside. I use a thin needle as I think the 16 or 18g needle puts too much pressure before it punctures. You’ll get my drift when you pull out of glands that are so full they’re ready to pop. Safety specs don’t hurt either, their nozzles are like a mini water pistol and eye contact could be disastrous.
