I just looked it up. Apparently Ivomec has been proven to heal wounds quickly in scientific tests.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7576857/

I had a lot of what I guess they would call granulations from animal scratches and thorns, picked up.from rabbit and bird hunting. Ivomec made the ones I put it on go away. I never knew that it's been actually used for that.

Me and my daughter are like that. She is a mosquito magnet and they dont bother me at all. She is very light skinned and I have a darker complexion is all I can figure. Ticks love me for some reason.

Itching and weeping has stopped my skins tight from all of the wounds drying up so that’s some progress will scrub with soap and water for a few days and go from there.

When you know that you are going to be amongst them, when you get home, put 50-50 mix of bleach and water then cover your entire body with it.
Once your skin starts tingling, take a hot shower. They will die. It kills seed ticks too.
It takes a while for those little buggers to settle down to inject you with their spit, which hardens into a tube so that they can suck your juices out of you.
The tube which they leave behind is where the week long itching comes from.
Chiggers are the nymph stage of a mite. Once they have a sip of you, they soon fall off. They don't burrow under your skin.
I'm sure the solvent in fingernail polish will ease the itching some.

Only place they have attacked me is an area of about 8 acres.
No problem anywhere else.
Hate them with a passion.
Pure rubbing alcohol applied when the itching starts , seemed to help.

When I was in the Army, they issued a runny cream that was sulfur based. It is the best defense against chiggers I have ever used. You had to apply before going to the field. I still have some to this day. Though I always forget to use it until too late. Chiggers are a torture device.
