Apparently I need to take more time when considering how I title my posts, especially if 160 is lurking in the shadows.

Well I will be bulwinkled
I knew there was a IGNOR
but this is something NEW....a LURKING FEATURE I never knew about.

A really cool feature was the shells given during WW11 in Canada as they are stamped and only 2 boxes per Servicing members of the Airforce/ year.

I just looked them up, that's interesting. Were they issued 5 or 25 round boxes? Either way doesn't seem like a lot of ammo.

25 round boxes, tail gunners were given 4 boxes at least 16 uncles were air force crew
no hunting licence require if active service wear was worn
they were also issued 22 shot for indoor skeet shooting at paper disc........hunted with those "lost" pocket range rounds for 30 years after.
