See the post the other day about late batch turkey poults. Wife said to me yesterday there is a bird making a nest in rose bush by back door. That's nothing new been some kinda bird nest there every year seems like. Earlier this spring I fought with sparrows trying to nest there. I leave others alone but dont like them dirty english buggers in there.
Anyway this morning I took a look and here sit a morning dove. Been doves in there years past but usually in May or June. Not sure this lady going to get to far with temps in 40-50s.
Sits right there with me a foot away.

On the same subject I have seen 3 very small juv. raccoon pups the last few days wandering along and on the highway in our area. They appear to still be of near nursing size. Sort of just wandering and not knowing what to do or where to go. Momma must have died, left or ? Looked to be around a Lb. in body weight.
