Just got this picture. Apparently my daughter and her dog just found this in the back field not doing well at all. Dog walked right up to him to check him out. Wife had stringed water into it and is looking for a rehaber.

I think its to far gone and nature knows best and would have left it alone. It was behind the barn a few hundred yards so good chance its the same deer that was staying in the barn. . i suspected there was something wrong with a faw alone living in the lean to that keep coming back. And yes those are my daughters bare feet she walks the farm and everywhere else she can bare foot.[Linked Image]

Stinks seeing anything suffer…is it’s belly bloated? Those wide eyes looks like it’s in pain…

He didn't make it. Just got the txt. Sorry smash i know nothing more than the picture and the dog and daughter walked right up to him and could clearly see something was wrong and attempted to help a lost cause. All nature lovers at heart. something the anti's will never understand. Our deep love for nature, animals and outdoors raising orphaned animals, nursing injured and sick , and creating an improving habitat. but also abilities to harvest them and make hard calls when needed.

I'd be concerned about some kind of disease and bury it deep.

I had a fawn walk up to the pond, got a drink, then it walked 10 yards and fell over and died last year. Another doe died in my yard, couple more in the woods. I haven't found any this year yet, but it is another drought, so it will be starting. EHD

Affects all age deer. Some overcome it and therefore builds an immunity...many others die within a week after contracting it thru the bite of a midge/sand gnat.

Any deer you see that has hooves peeling has survived EHD at some point in their life.
