Early fox and coyote around October 15th with muskrat a week later and everything else beginning of November here in Maine. Pretty much the same here in WI. We have zones for water trapping, central opens Oct 25th. Dryland trapping opens Oct 15th. Otter opens Nov 1. Northern zones open sooner, southern zones open later

Too early. Our state’s season opening has been Nov 1st here for as long as I can remember. I never start though until at or around December 1st. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

In my area coyote, coon, badger, skunk and weasel are open year round. Fox opens October 10 and muskrat, mink, beaver and otter open October 15. Cats open mid December. I’ll put out some rat sets October 15 for a few days to help out a landowner and get some fresh rats for coyote and cat bait. I normally start on coyotes October 20 on my local line. We are at 3750’. I’ll run until Thanksgiving then move my line down to lower elevation until about January 5-10. After that I’m after cats back up at the higher elevation until the season closes in mid February. Then beaver and rats until the end of March.
Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

There's a form for fur prices on here but from what I heard in north TX they go for about $70-150.

MD November 1 for most everything in my county,
To a person ignorant of nature, his country stroll is a walk through a gallery filled with wonderful works of art with their faces turned to the wall
