Any one remember the manufacturer of the jet boat Bushman used to use to go hunting up mountain rivers. I looked at the solar jet boats don't like them.

I think that is what he was using. Check out the Stryker inflatable jet boats. They have a built-in tunnel, also.

Didn’t he also use a jet kayak?

A jet boat runs a water jet rather than a propeller, it sucks in water and then shoots it out the back providing "jet propulsion". I've never seen a jet kayak or even heard of one prior to this thread, but I'm sure it is a kayak with the same type of propulsion. Most "jet boats" are inboard motor boats with the jet tucked up into the hull, because a big advantage of a jet boat is that you can run in much shallower water when up on plane than with a regular prop driven boat. Very common for running rivers out here.

I was going to mention that your search bar is your friend. Type in Mokai, or outboard jet boat and voila! Adde bonus is that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Most jet boats in my neck of the woods are outboards. Never seen a Mokai around here, but they are a thing.

I have seen inboard jet boats, such as Big River type, (think Snake River, Taku), serious speed boats, with blown V-8s, but for my money, the most useful are outboard jets mounted on sturdy aluminum skiffs. Not quite as useful as an airboat where I come from, but will get you into places a prop will not.
Some of the newer jet-powered "rafts" are also incredible.

Interesting, I've seen outboard jet boats before, but the vast majority of them I see are inboards. Probably because most people around here have them to run on the Snake, Salmon or other rivers. So yes V8s, whether stock or built are about the norm. They have jet boat races up the St. Joe river every year here locally, and some of those boats have seriously built motors, but even for the average hunter or fisherman going up the Clearwater, Snake, Salmon rivers etc. takes a fair amount of power to get up through some of the rapids.
