That's a nice tent
looks like internal frame

with the 12x12 I already have to be a little careful selecting state park sites , because I need enough room for the truck & boat and the 12x12 tent which with the lines is about a 15x17 foot print

Yep, internal 1” conduit frame, it’s heavy and a bear to set up alone but it’s doable. With the awning this year I’m expecting a 20x30 footprint including guidelines and all. I have the Camp Chef cylinder stove and it does okay. It’ll get the tent to 85-90 degrees, but burn time is horrible even with it dampened down and seasoned hardwood.

if you are supplementing nights in a hotel it can pay for a tent fast.

state parks here just raised their rates but it runs 21 for a non electric site now and 39 for an electric

if you can do 3 nights for 63 and taxes so should be good at about 75 dollars , the same area to get a hotel was more like 150 a night so if you stay 3 nights to get the same amount of fishing in you are looking at 450 , and that goes a long way at a 1500 dollar tent

Curious what your night burn time is dampered down? We run a four dog and usually need to get up but once in the night to add chunks IF . . . it's seasoned hardwood.

Enjoy the space inside a wall tent used a 12 × 14 for several years but down sized with age now use a 10 × 12 Kodiak flex bow set up takes less than 10 minutes and plenty of space for 2 cots, heater and gear.

I can get 3-4 hours out of it. I’ve experimented with eco logs and coal as well. Both seemed to help a little. They are just too drafty to burn longer than that. I don’t wake up during the night so it’s cold when I get up, one morning last fall was 0 out.

Another vote for Davis, here my 14x16 with a cook shack in front. We trap 2-4 guys out of it in January every year. Also Davis customer service is second to none. Good honest people.

how do you all store your tent

I hang it to dry in the barn a couple days , then roll it up and put it in the bag

but I am hearing if you cook in them , put the bag in a metal barrel then to keep mice out of it.

I can do that I just need to get a barrel , I haven't done any cooking in mine yet I was just going to put it in the basement on a shelf till I heard about the barrel thing.

I put mine in a metal job box, the ones u see at construction sites. I put wheels on one end.
My home made wood stove will burn about 4 hours. Sometimes longer. Push ashes back, put wood in. So it burns from back to front. Takes it longer to burn. And I normally throw in a block or 2 of the smashed sawdust blocks from tractor supply. They stay lit longer so u can just throw wood in when u get up to pee.

I always bring mine home and air out in the garage for a few days to make sure there isn’t moisture anywhere, then back into the bag. They make those plastic bins with wheels and handles I’ve been looking at, no doubt that canvas gets heavy!

Davis also sell a “baffle” to put in their wood stove to help with a second burn. I bought one, it helps a little.
