Out of curiousity I went to wikipedia to read up on Bloody Kansas and immediately this sentence popped out. The conflict was characterized by years of electoral fraud, raids, assaults, and murders carried out in the Kansas Territory and neighboring Missouri....... Sounds familar, doesn't it?

2 detainees dead and 1 shooter. Sounds like they were not after ICE deputies, but who knows with the reporting these days. that immediately made me think , dumping witnesses if you are taking good shots but only taking them on detainees , you want those detainees to not talk.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

The detainee's were already caught, why kill them?

Noticed the ammo in a stripper clip guess that rules out an AR

Noticed the ammo in a stripper clip guess that rules out an AR Not necessarily as 5.56 comes in two forms in the US military and probably the rest as well. Linked belt for the SAW and in ten round stripper clips for speed loading magazines. Each case comes with adapter clips that slide onto a magazines to allow the use of stripper clips. However, that's not a 5.56 stripper clip in the photos that were released. Looks like a mauser/springfield type, definitely not enfield or mosin. Most likely mauser as there are millions of those vs the rest. Which raises the question, coincidence due to being commonly available or a common tactical plan? I would seriously consider the latter as sniping from distance is not a common tactic.

The powers that be will never allow it to get out of hand. Exactly, when John Brown brought his game east to attack, kill, and capture the government arsenal at Harper's Ferry, Colonel Lee and the US Marines put it all to rest and nothing else ever came of it.

Looks like 8x57 in five round stripper clips to me. I like how an inked message is now "engraved".
