Remade the set in case another one comes to steal
His poop was full of deer hair.
Guy I trap for lost 6 chickens to coyote, then he kept them locked in, the egg production slowed down

Yeah if the hens are stressed from preds even being around let alone mauling their coopmates egg production can drop right off.

When they took the chickens he would hear howling almost every night.
He shut chickens in and called me.
He had a calf born dead and the coyote never took it, we both figured the coyotes would eat the calf up right away.
He also noticed no howling at night, still no howling a month later.
I told him it's possible they caught distemper, I noticed it hit coyote and fox and coon one fall, just before trapping opened in nov
