I shot this nice 10 pointer early this morning. He was walking up the power lines 60 yards way. So I grabbed my grunt call and grunted at him stopping him. I grunted again and here he came. I shot him at 17 yards.
I decided not to get him mounted. I have 13 deer heads on the wall already and I would have to cull 1 of my mounts to make room for him. Also starting at $700. to get a deer head mounted is getting stupid high. So I've decided to get a European mount done instead.
I have a few more pictures of him but the Trapperman web site won't let me down load any more. It keeps logging me off when I try to load any more pictures other than just this 1 picture.
So I'm officially tagged out until rifle season in Nov.

Fantastic buck! What broadhead did you use? Looks like you really opened him up!!

I'm still using Gold Tip Gladiator broadheads 2 blades from the early 1990's. I've got 18 packs of 3 left and hopefully they will last me the rest of my hunting days. I did save the broadhead that I shot him with day, no damage to it at all.

I love those broadheads and was disappointed when gold tip quit making them.

When I heard that Gold Tip was going to stop production on them I contacted Gold Tips owner asking if I could buy the remaining stock of them? He told me the his son owned a Sporting Good store in Washington and bought all the remaining packs. He gave me his phone number and I called him and worked out a deal to buy all of the packs he had left for $3.75 per pack of 3. Over the years I sold 75 packs for $10 per pack, which made all of my 50 pack that I keep free. I believe that this was either 1992 or 1993. It was by far the best deal I've ever made.

Every now and then a pack or 2 will come up for sell on e-Bay usually selling for $20 per pack of 3
