So I know nothing about Bolts. When I look on ebay there is an amazing number of 6 inch bolts for sale. I bought a cheap pistol type at a gun show to play with. I hear they work pretty good for fishing.
Anyway I don't know how long of a bolt I should be using for a crossbow that has a 10" rail.
So can any of you guys give me an idea of what i should be looking for?
thanx just

Use what the manufacturer recommends and make sure you use the correct nock.

Bolts are confusing compared to regular type arrows if there’s a recommendation chart for crossbow bolts I’ve yet to see it. Like said read up on the manufacture recommendations it’s your best bet. The nock thing is crazy several types out there, I found inserts and replacement nocks are not easy to come across but in my state they are restricted I found a few items in MO when I’m down that way.

I even sent my bow part down to be restrung I figure a guy that did hundreds of restrings would do better than a guy that did a few of them.

With those "pistol" crossbows, they're so short. I doubt it matter too much what you use. Having the fletching spine indexed and the right nock are bigger issues
