Sold some ginseng yesterday…
Darwin Kirchhoffer in shumway, Illinois
700.00 per dry pound. Other states like North Carolina are probably seeing better prices, but their ginseng is wayyyy better quality than our stuff here.
I kinda suspect some increase in price a little because it’s going to be a very short season due to the drought.

I went ahead and sold some to have some money for our Illinois convention next week.and Peggy and I 35th anniversary. 35 years is a long time to put up with my shenanigans .I wanted to hold on to it a little longer but the money I had saved back for that had to go towards other things.

Darwin has been a great buyer for many years…
I sold ALOT of fur to him over the years.

I have heard $900 dry here in NC. A lot are selling wet now. You get $3-400 a lb. and don't have to fool with drying. Of course it could go to over $1K in November, but who knows.
