Seeing all this incredibly amped up, dark attacks, and of recent, church’s and Christians… I’m reminded of the episode called “ The howling man “ to where a man , who was tricked by a person behind a locked door, unwittingly releases the devil on the world.
Rod Serlings closing monologue has always been etched into my brain… “The greatest trick the devil ever produced, was to convince man that he did not exist “

I like the twilight zone but even creepier was the Tales from the Darkside series!! They had some seriously good stories on there!! The one about the grizzer was really good. The trick or treat was good too

Rod Serlings closing monologue has always been etched into my brain… “The greatest trick the devil ever produced, was to convince man that he did not exist “ I think I have seen that one at least 5 times. Yes, his quote at the end holds true today for so many people. I love it when the Syfy channel has their Twilight Zone marathon every New Years. My wife thinks I'm nuts for watching it every year. It's one of the greatest classics ever.

I also liked each series called The Strain and V. I have a complete collection of both of them. Never get tired of watching them over and over.

One of my favorite TZ episodes was “The Hunt”. Old man and his dog die while coon hunting, and travel to the afterlife. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/dV70M19B/IMG-2192.jpg) Definitely in the top five of the best episodes!! A man can walk straight into hades with both eyes open,, but even the devil can’t fool a dog

What was that one called when the kids with the nasty parents went swimming and ended up in a magical land with a sweet old grandma who took care of them?? The Bewitchin’ Pool. I believe it was the final Twilight Zone episode.

The really cool thing about the twilight zone is that it stands the test of time,, Those episodes are around 65 plus years old…and the stories still have relevance.
It would be very different to say which episode was the best,,, that’s why I just have a top 10 list… No episode is in any particular order.
The obsolete man bears some resemblance to today in some ways. For those who have never seen it,,, the story is set, where everything is ran by the government,,, and religion is not allowed… The librarian ( played by burgess Meredith) is caught reading a bible and is sentenced to death by public execution.. and it’s televised,he gets to choose how he wants to be executed.
He chooses to be blown to pieces…. Just before the bomb is scheduled to go off,, the judge who passed sentence came into the room to talk to burgess…as he tries to leave,,, he finds the door locked and he learns he is trapped inside the room,, and only has minutes before the bomb explodes…
He starts to cry out for help and then invokes the name of GOD to please help him. ( remember , this is being televised) and just seconds before the bomb goes off, he’s rescued. In the next scene, we see the judge, standing before another judge, and he’s standing trial for what he said,,, and he himself is found guilty.
Definitely in the top five.
