It's draw results day in my region and I've got some cat tags for the first time so I'm brushing up on my regs.

In Canada we follow the AIHTS list requirements and I've noticed, for cats, you can us bridger 220 but not dukes or bélisles.

Anyone have any idea why? Must be a clamping force thing? I'm still a newbie but I thought super Xs are as strong as they get?

Darn curiosity... you know what they say about it and cats.

My understanding is that it is only because the Duke and Belisle 220s have not been tested and approved.
I know that the folks at Bridger have been fairly on the ball about ensuring that their trap lineup gets tested and approved in reasonable timeframe (I assume it is the manufacturers that push the issue).
Seeing that the 280 Belisles are on the list, I would further assume that they just pushed through the lynx data and didn't see any business case to check the 220's... or there is some dimensional issue with the Dukes and Belisles that the other manufacturers don't have.

Just happy to be here.

I wondered if it wasn't something as simple as beurocracy. Thanks slydogx.
