Hello Don,
I was just getting ready to write something about last weekend, when I saw your post. I know you won't believe this, but instead of you thanking us, we all owe you a huge debt of gratitude. Organizing and putting on an event of this magnitude is an enormous amount of work. From the food to the people to figuring out ways to make the days informative and entertaining. I don't know how you came up with Pumpkin Bowling but WOW what an amusing and productive use of excess pumpkins. The food, as usual was great. Many kudos to the cooking crew, they are awesome! I'm pretty sure there is more pure trapping knowledge at Minktoberfest than any other gathering of trappers. You and Candy are a team that is truly helping to "Dig The Well Deeper"

Jim, without all of you coming it couldn't continue. We try to keep the cost to attend reasonable. From the start we had good people who all got along. Good trappers and good people have attracted more good people. I feel like the blessings I've been given are for the purpose of touching others. Honestly, the Sunday morning church service was well attended. If even 1 person benefitted from that the entire effort was worth the cost. I'm excited when people send me pictures of bobcat, coyote, fisher, coon, mink and other species and note we learned this from so and so at Minktoberfest. The best one yet was the video I got of the young boy who came with his grandpa. He had received a 3d colorful double long spring at minktoberfest and went home and was doing a demo. Explaining how he would bed his trap, and use his lures. That was priceless and I'm hoping to share that when I figure out how. Please accept this as an invitation to all to come next year. Sept 30-Oct 4.

I've been trapping for 50 plus years and I learn a few tricks and try them last year and they work, everyone can learn something there, Don

Thank you, Don, for an outstanding weekend, from start to finish this was the best event (from a trapper's perspective) I have ever been a part of, and the knowledge shared was unbelievable. I cannot recommend this event enough. Looking forward to next year, Dave Z
