Boy, what's wrong with you folks? You want to teach the kid that welfare is a great life choice? Good for you Bruce! Good deal for both of you.

I have no problem with the deal Bruce and his grandson made. Sounds like both of them are happy so what's the problem. Bruce and the kids parents probably aren't going to be worrying about the kid running to them with their hand out all the time. There are plenty of parents who give their kids whatever they want and then wonder why they're not self sufficient when they get older.

It's good that a young trapper learns he can trade pelts he works hard to catch for something of value he wants more. Bruce is teaching his grandson a valuable lesson about hard work and reward.

Young people, who are given everything they want, grow up to be people who aren't worth a crap.

Strong work ethics take root best, when they are instilled at a young age.

He'd rather rub the kids nose in it when he comes over to see his grandma. He must need them pelts for his new den. I wonder how many of them other mounts and furs were actually taken from kids?

Must the awful to be going around filled with that much hate, or maybe its envy?

Bruce, you dont need to respond to them dumbarses....they are just looking to bust your chops every chance they get. None of their business how you interact with your grand kids in the least. Ill bet they are far from being perfect. Teaching a child or grandchild a little about capitalism and trading is a great lesson for them....good for you.

If you had filled us in the plan at the start, this could have all been avoided. It's not about teaching capitalism, it's about treating your grandson like a good grandpa ought to.
