I just grounded up my castor sacs along with glycerin. Glycerin was used to make it pasty. Some of the castor wasn’t 100% dry, is there a good chance that it will mold in the jars?

you could use methyl parabin as a stabilizer and mold retardant

Wouldnt worry too much about it If your really worried about it, add some vodka or everclear or get some methylparaben. Castor doesnt get too moldy unless it gets rehydrated.

I've never had castor mold. I don't grind It I just scrape out the castor and add glycerin. I was told you don't want any of the green sac material in your lure. The other thing I was told is you shouldn't add any sac oil to your castor-based lure. And it seems to work for me.

I had it mold once but that was because it was green castor that in the freezer till someone removed it and i did t find it in time. It was a mess.

I do the same as BEAV. I snip the outer shell and scrape out the castor. I have dried, then frozen in a zip-lock many castor sacs. But when thawing, you need to keep an eye on them as there will be a little moisture. Don't thaw them in the bag! They need to be able to dry the same way you did them originally. And don't thaw until you are ready to make your lure, (I also just add glycerin), and jar it up.

Just doing what I want now.
