Just got him on camera last night and this morning. Small spike. How rare are they? First one I've ever scene. He's still at the feeder as I type this.
Would you take him? Chances of becoming a nice buck where I hunt is slim to none. Coyotes are an issue, plus the neighbors will shoot anything.

Yep, their chances to live long aren't good. I've read less then 2% become piebald. Mom and dad has to have the gene to pass it on. If.given the chance. I will probably take it and have a rug made. Also, here in SC. They want them gone, so no restrictions. Also read, mom sometimes rejects them due to the oddity. And they have some health issues.

Had a fawn near town about ten years ago. Our local GW and I watched him/her for months from a distance. Eve a sighting again after that winter. Kept an eye on that area for years.. only one I’ve heard of let alone seen in these parts. Cool looking critter for sure!

The piebald or the two bucks? There's one that may not look it. But that joker is pushing 180 -200 pounds. I shoot for meat. But im not stupid in shooting up the place while these two are around. The piebald is a shooter im thinking. Sarge

Wow, both the piebald and the bucks in the bottom pic are super cool! We have a piebald doe that hangs around here, but she has less white on her. I had a chance to shoot her last year but I didn't. Apparently she has been around for a long time, and nobody's killed her yet so I guess she'll just be here til she dies of old age. Thanks for sharing

You gotta worry about the libtards that will scream and holler that you shot it.

I don't think ide shoot it, I've passed up albino squirrels before. It's cooler seeing that stuff in the woods than on a wall to me. If you tan it it'll just look like a goat hide on the couch Agreed. I feel the same way. Glad you got some photos.

Camera just sent a pic at 6:31. Whitety at 30 yards from stand. Hope it continues to hang in the area. Sure would be cool to see in person. I haven't fully decided if I would shoot it. More interested in my 3 target bucks. Time will tell.

Predation is high on the list for them. He's definitely smaller then he should be. Would like to see it in good light. Won't be back in the stand until next Thursday. Wind is totally wrong until then. Maybe he'll hang around until then.

Ridge Runner 1960, he's still hanging around. The other deer won't go near him. Just stare at him. They know he's different. Hope to get a in-person look. Then I'll decide about putting a tag on it. His little knows aren't big enough to qualify as a.buck. So, I would use one of my many doe.tags and save them for the three other bucks I have my sights set on. Thinks for the info. Piebalds interesting for sure.

I have a GW friend in the area I hunt. I will talk to him and the landowner and see what they say.
