Would that Gardeau Crest ? If so , it's quite the operation.

No, they are way bigger than us, but they are not grazers. They are just down the road from us a few miles, they are a freestall operation not grazing. Dan just bought out another large dairy and is aggressively expanding it. They want to be milking 6000 head at that location. The barns they are putting up now are beyond impressive.

I am on East Hill Farms. We are all pasture based. My boss's wife has a small bottling plant where she processes some of the milk for local sale and my boss's father has a cheese plant where he processes a good amount into raw milk alpine cheeses. The rest gets shipped to DFA.

I gotcha, bud. It just came up randomly in the course of conversation, as good conversations often do. So, I just assumed you were at GC.

I'm a training coordinator for our plant. Work for one of the biggest Agriscience companies in the world. I've been doing this for 14 years now. Hopefully another 14 or so and I'll be retired.

Hey, Savell!

Mostly retired this year 30+ years after started a company in 1994 doing configuration, custom training and support on CAD and engineering applications, mainly for engineering firms, transportation departments and utility companies. Still do occasional short term consulting projects through Mensa for a variety of clients.

I "mostly retired" this year when Zim did, after he put in 40 years with an engineering firm doing municipal design, survey and project management. He has been a professional land surveyor for many years before that. If I follow him, I will never be lost. grin

Now we are busier than ever!

35 yrs at a Automobile Manufacturing Company.
Checker Motors Corp. of Kalamazoo , Michigan.
Most famous for the Checker Taxi Cabs.
Started as a spot welder on the assembly line. 1974
Finished as the General Foreman in charge of all Setup, Stamping , Assembly, and Robotic Lines, including Quality Control. in Plant #1 and plant #2.
I was there until the last press was stopped, 29 days short of 35 yrs.
We switched over to Big 3 body panels suppliers, after the cabs were discontinued.
One of my favorites was the Chevy Step-side truck boxes sent to Indianapolis Truck Plant.
Complete everything behind the cab, old style , with the chain hooks for the Tailgate , shipped and placed on their frames at Indy.
We did the GMC also , a simple die insert, to change the brands.
Another was the all aluminum body for a van assembly and used in China.
Life has been an adventure .
Lots of great memories.
