I took the wrong turn in Elyria Ohio on Saturday and ended up having to drive past the town square. Talk about a group of misfits!

Donner, I think he’s taking a shot at me because I said I spent the weekend in MN because of a Vikings game. I noticed some news thing on a Bar tv about that rally while sitting in a bar Saturday night. Because I jabbed him after he felt a Canadian could have no knowledge of the beef industry or general commodity knowledge now he thinks he will hurt my feelings with such a silly little attempt at an insult. lol I like your sarcasm regarding the king and cheering because he’s on your team. It’s kind of wild that America first folks think you should be screwed over on your bottom line to help out Argentina and so the ground beef they seek to buy, drops a nickel a pound.

I wonder what those soybean prices might be if there were still a market in China?

I listened to radio interview with a local farmer on the radio when I was mowing grass today he's 71 years old farmed all his life he made the comment that the beef being imported would have little effect on the price of beef he has a 500 cow/calf operation and all of his fats get exported out of the country and he gets .20 cents a lb over market price can't remember what country they went too.

The democrats did not remove Trumps tariffs last time because they like taxes and like protectionist tariffs too.

Who is John Galt?

If other countries charge us to import into their country then they should be charged to import here to keep a level playing field.

Eual tariffs between two nations with huge economic and productivity differences does not necessarily equate. A 20 % tariff on a $10 item is a lot different then a 20% tariff on a $40 item. At this point in time and our economy with roughly 80% of our economy struggling there won't be much American made sfuff bought by those either.

Makes no difference who has power. Simple fact is a huge soybean market in China does not exist right now.
Hopefully that will change with trade talks.

US raises higher quality beans then does Brazil and maybe Argentina but they can produce their beans at lower costs then we can in the US. Brazil is also doing a lot of soil research where they can use natural plants to increase nutrients to raise yields and maybe by a lot which means they can have more beans and corn and not have to clear off near as much forest to do that. Brazil may well be willing to bargin with China on bean prices as they know they have a growing crop and a growing market.
