Illegal in Georgia to sell coon meat.

Coon are listed as furbearers and game animals and the game animal designation makes the meat illegal to sell.

I tried to develop a market for coon meat for pet food and couldn't get any interest. I ended up composting what I stored up. People are just too wary of diseases and parasites in coon, whether rightly so or not. I sell quail, rabbit, chicken, guinea and have sold turkey, geese, pigeon, duck and pheasant for pet food, mostly for reptiles, ground up whole and made into sausage links.

There is interest in beaver for pet food.

Coon is more likely Kung Pao Beef. Coon is a red meat. Domestic cat is more likely to be passed as Kung Pao Chicken.

Kitten Fried Rice is exactly what it sounds like.

Illegal to sell any wild meat or fish in Pennsylvania. That would include coon.

I’ve been to every state south of the mason dixon line.. and have never even heard of it being on a menu..

Should check out east of the Mason-Dixon Line. There is one or two places left. One that I know of.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Gordon Ramsey, maybe…

Sure is, just gotta find it.

I don’t sell many though, maybe a couple here and there. $10 skinned, gutted and with a paw on. They know to cut the glands.
