My best advice (after 26 years): Be good to your wife and kids. Simple.

Married 48 years and we went together 7 years before that. I hope that you both honor God, we pray together every morning and read the bible together every night. Helps to keep our focus on what's truly important. Never, ever go to bed mad at each other is the other important thing. Apologize if you must , tell her you love her, but don't hold a grudge over
night. That's just a poison festering to ruin the next day.

I thought it was the 30% skunk essence 70% beaver caster mix on my neck that draws them in. For more reach you can go 37% on the skunk.

My step mom says it was dads dirty socks that got her. Its been over 2 decades since I heard the story so its fuzzy but he said something and it got her to take a big sniff. Poor guy has not been able to get rid of here since.

38 years 3rd wife. She's always right and she knows it! Just agree with her. Learned that trick after the 1st 2.

46 years here. When young people ask me about it, it seems today everyone is looking for someone to make them happy. It's never anyone else's responsibility to make you happy or fulfilled. A good marriage is more about being the right person than it is about finding the right person.

Been married 50 years this year. I've learned that saying from the movie, Love Story. "Love means never having to say you're sorry." If you truly love each other a disagreement is meaningless and can't destroy your love.

When someone asks me, "How are you doing?" I usually answer, "She still puts up with me. So, life is great!"

Bernie I don't know if that last sentence is yours originally, but I've not heard it before. That's a pretty humbling statement. Very powerful.

Well said. I would suggest paying special heed to this counsel. I would add marriage is not as much a contract as it is a covenant. 52 years.
