This^^^^ is the ONLY deer scent Ive ever seen actually work. Buck picked up scent from other end of food plot about 60 yds away and came right to where I had sprayed it on a low bush. Low head & lip curling..

IMO, cover scent is less effective than a good attractant. However, I don't use either anymore. Had fun with it when I was a young kind. Drag rags and drip lines work. Now I just pay attention to the wind and thermals. I'm just not intrigued by all the gadgets, scents, suites, and gizzmo's that are being marketed. To much to worry about and will make you less dependent on your own instincts. But I don't knock guys for trying whatever they think helps.

When I used cover scent we use Watkins dbl strength vanilla. Worked well, used for bear and they really like it, climb right up the tree. LOL.

Why does your processor sell tampons? For a cover scent I prefer Camel cigarettes. I tend to chain smoke in the stand.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I used to use cover scent, and hunt down wind. Then I followed the trend to scent lock suits and sprays and soap!! I’m back hunting in the wind and don’t move.

Herea the thing, the only way you are fooling a deers nose is using the wind. You can use ozonics, scent killer, cover scent etc, a deer can still smell you if he gets downwind.

Most deer probably smell human-related odors regularly, maybe even constantly. But they can’t run and hide all of the time, they need to do their deer things. The point of doing what you can to control your odor is to minimize your presence and hopefully get the deer to think you are further away, or you were there but are now gone. That way they keep going about their deer things thinking you are not a present threat.
No, you can’t fool a deer’s nose all of the time, maybe not even most of the time, but my experience is that you can fool enough of them enough of the time to make the effort worthwhile.
