That show was on my list of shows to watch as a kid.
But watching that as an older man...it's even funnier.
I was only 6 in 1962 when the first show aired...
So I bet I was watching lassie at that time...lol

Funniest bit they did was when Jed took Granny to the jewelry store. Granny says, "Them red diamonds is pretty." The jeweler said, "Those are rubies." Granny says, "Well, ask her if she wants to sell one?" Jeweler said, "The ruby I am referring to is not a lady" Granny said, "How she got them rings is her own business, just ask her if she wants to sell one." Hahaha

One of my favorite episodes is when Mr drysdale takes them out to “ shoot golf” When jed comes home he tells granny that they never saw any,, but they got the hardest eggs he ever saw,,, A few scenes later, granny is in the kitchen standing over a pot of boiling water and she says to jed” you ain’t kidding about those golf eggs” I’ve been boiling these for hours and I still can’t break em.

And don't forget the infamous "cement pond" out back. And them poor hillbillies never could figure out the coincidence of the door bell ringing and someone showing up a their front door.

My favorite show was when Jethro got himself a restaurant. Buddy Ebsen played many characters in his career. He was a great dancer as well.
