Pretty depressing rat prices.
And if I were trapping otter, (which wouldn't happen at those prices), I would be more than happy to only get docked $5-$15 for dropping them off whole!

Just doing what I want now.

Well not great but at least they’re buying so maybe something good is starting.

I did see this posted,,, and I also noticed the slew of people who commented calling him a rip off…
For some reason, there’s some people out there who still think they should get 30-50 bucks for a carcass coon.
And a mudball full of cockleburrs as an added bonus.

It would seem that its always the mediocre guys/weekend warriors who cry the most. They either don't know how to catch whatever is marketable or they lack the ambition to get after it. They will show up to the fur trailer with 10 - 20 hides and complain that if they can't cover gas they might "hang it up". They are never content and everyone else who is content to have a outlet for their furs is an idiot in their minds.
2 or 3 skunks a day should more than cover gas and anything else is icing on the top. A great majority of my trapping is controlling damage either on crops, yards, coops, dams, ponds, or pastures. Prices effect what gets finished not what gets caught or my enjoyment doing it.

The Russian market needs to open up fully, and the war in Ukraine needs to end. Then, prices will increase.

Id go beat the crap out of my truck in bean fields and pastures if someone local was paying 5 bucks for carcass yotes. I miss having a local buyer.
