"The monkeys are approximately 40lbs, they are aggressive to humans, and they require PPE [personal protective equipment] to handle," the sheriff said.

I think a 22mag would be appropriate PPE.

honestly I was thinking 12 ga and a 22lr in the truck with a driver and I'll ride shotgun if you get an suv with a sun roof even better

a couple of those setups and I think you should have them very quick.

the problem is typically whats effective and what they will let you do are very different , but if you can get them on the ground with 50 feet of nothing behind them and an elevated position from the roof of an SUV , it would be quite safe with #4 shot or suppressed 22lr

I wonder how a dogproof would work on them? I know the Africans trap some monkeys with a hollow gourd and something inside to grab onto, kinda like folks used to trap coons. A monkey shoot sure sounds like a fun time though.

…. From the time I spent with African tribes… I find that to be false

Lol Savell. I didn't know you were so well traveled. Could you please enlighten me as to the proper African monkey trapping procedure?

Those books were written for people your age, but I still read some of them every year even at my age. In fact, this is the time of year I usually read Stormy... I need to dig it out. He has many other books as well... Swamp Cat and The Black Fawn are both worth reading.

Oh yeah! I forgot about the Black Fawn! I have that one as well. Never read Swamp Cat though! I'll have to get that one too. It seems like they're good books for any age smile
