Has anyone had any success with rotting one down for a year and it using the liquid for a lure base? I got my hands on a heavy one from Texas I was going to eat but it did not survive the heat during a longer than expected time shipping. It is rendering in a bucket, the gases leaking out attract every housecat in the neighborhood currently. I am a couple months in to this, might take a chunk out and stop it, give it a try down the hole and see what it does.
