Public land my friend. If someone stole one of my 44's I would have to spend the day tracking them down and disposing of their carcass. Those Bridger #5's are my "everyday" Beaver trap. The 44's are for Sundays and special occasions.

No, nothing. Most of them have chicken wire over the top but the one I grabbed did not.

I built a few this last spring. I like them, just less to carry into a set.

Ohio's trapping season starts in 4 days on November 10th, except beaver and otter don't come in until December 26th. The only think I can catch here that really has enough value to justify trapping are skunks. I'll trap some coyotes, coon and opossums too, anyways. I don't have any permission for nearby water to trap.

Season does not open here til November 15 but I will wait a little later to get pelts that are fully prime. Here are some of last years pics and one from 30 years ago.

I got $50 for a white possum like that years ago to a taxidermist... probably worth twice that or more these days. Lucky catch!

That was my 2nd one this year. The first one I gave to a beginning taxidermist and this one I gave to a buddy that does taxidermy on the side. If there is a third, I will look for a buyer.

I used taxidermy.net I don't know if its even still around. Very generous of you giving up two bills like that!

ADC - your the one who turned me on to the DP that possum is in. I think that was 10 or so years ago. Wish I would have bought 100 more.

They are all I use to this day. Still have a barrel full. EZ Traps.
