What are y'all putting your skunks up on? I tried to find dimensions for a skunk board online but am coming up empty. Neither FHA nor the old NAFA manual include dimensions for skunks and I also can not find anyone selling commercial boards. So, what's everyone using??
Proudly banned from the NTA.
Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

I haven't put up fur for awhile, but I believe I used the #23 Sleepy Creek for skunks. Not sure if the dimensions, but I can check when I get home. Edit, I see you asked about boards, not wire. I'm tired and dumb.

I would be surprised if Leonard from Top Lot Stretcher Company didn't make and sell any.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I've put them up for years on my fox boards. My buyers pay top dollar year after year and compliment the put up.

if your buying boards wire is cheaper. get a few #4's and squeeze the top some to make them narrower.

I have a couple of skunk boards I bought years ago but they are too short to pin out the tails for many of our skunks. Those bigger midwest skunks would swallow them. I have used mostly raccoon boards but have a friend that uses the smaller otter boards.
I do not think the crafters who have traditionally bought most skunks are all that particular about how they are stretched. And the new fad tail market could care less about how the rest of the pelt is stretched.
My opinion, your mileage may vary.

A few years ago I modified a bunch of wire stretchers with a board on the bottom like NAFA literature shows for coon stretchers. Work good for the skunk tails to be pinned.
