I’ve always been fascinated by the ark.. even though I was brought up as a catholic.. we were never really taught about the ark… so when I watched “ raiders of the lost ark “ as a kid, didn’t know it was based on something real.

I didn’t know it was based biblically until I was about 22 years old.

My question is this… do you guys think it was destroyed when Babylon sacked Jerusalem? Or do you think it was successful hidden?

Do you think it will be found?
Or do you believe the stories like Ron Wyatt, that it’s already been found??

I don’t need to see the ark to prove an existence of GOD,, I just want to see it to appreciate something that was extremely significant.

Would be nice if it resurfaced but in all likelihood it was destroyed. Things like that always get destroyed by the conquerors in that part of the world unless smuggled out.

A lot of people think that Lord High Admiral of Scotland, Henry I Sinclair, Earl of Orkney, Lord of Roslin owned the Arc of the Covenant in the late 1300s. He's descended from the King of Jerusalem during the Crusades and many of the nights Templar, who did major excavations of the Temple Mount, so it is possible.

He's also my 19th great grandfather, but I sure didn't inherit the Arc.

It would be cooler if I was now in possession of the Arc of the Covenant.

Jeremiah foretold a time when the ark of the covenant would be no more. Jer. 3:16,17

It served its purpose, and the Bible never mentions what happened to it. I feel God probably allowed it to disappear to never be found again like a few other things, so that people wouldn't venerate and worship it like some magical charm.

The kings of the kingdom of Jerusalem were not Jewish. They were Christian Crusaders from Europe. They controlled Jerusalem for just a little under 200 years. Most of the leading crusading Knights Templar moved there after retirement, when they let their oldest sons have control of their properties. You and I share many of those same ancestors.

Moses did indeed destroy the original tablets that were written on stone from the finger of GOD,,, the replacements were carved out by Moses… because GOD told him “ it’s your turn buddy, you broke em, you fix em.
But as far as the ark itself,, it was pretty well around… Joshua had it when he marched around Jericho, one of king David’s men was killed when he accidentally touched it when he tried to stop it from falling off the cart,, and king Solomon built one heck of a temple to house it in.
