Fairly common. I'm not totally up to speed on dates but that one is a later one, 60s-70s??. Value is what you can get for it. The wagner name alone usually has a higher initial ask than an equivalent BSR or Lodge but IMO it's a user not a collector. I'd pay no more than 20 for it but wouldn't be keen to buy.

Is the “Wagner” worn completely off?

The style of logo and lack of heat ring means it was manufactured 1935-1959.

Look on Ebay, Etsy and other sites to get an idea of what a # 3 sells for.

Eh...wot?

The wagner refers to the lineage. By that time corporate mergers had blended several of the old foundries including wagner and name would appear off and on through various makes. But on that one you can just make out the E R buried under years of built up seasoning. If you were to strip it down to bare iron it'll be clear.

Why is that a wall hanger? Use that thing, it wont diminish any value it may have which I doubt is much. I see old cast iron at swap meets all the time for 20-40$ and have several. While i have no specifiic knowledge of that particular pan value and age the brand is common.

BTW, the mergers are one reason the later iron doesn't command the prices of the older stuff. Generally heat rings and gate marks are what you keep an eye open for, though BSR kept heat rings to the very end.

Warrior , thank you for all your replies , very helpful.

Some back story on this 'wall hanger'......
It belongs to a friend. Several decades ago , his (now) late wife had come across a deal for a nice vintage cast iron cooking stove. Due to dealmaking/shrewd connections/happenstance and a bunch of luck she got it very , very cheap. Very nice looking piece. 4-6? burners with multiple sized rings , two different oven compartments and a water jacket (rare) and an upper shelf. In very good to excellent original unrestored condition.
It is in a modern log cabin home and is directly across from the front entrance and one of the first things you see when you walk in. It looks so good in a log cabin. Gives you that warm homey feeling instantly. It just belongs there.
It is non-functional , just for display. Over the years she picked up old timey things that were related to the vintage cast stove and hung them on the wall next to the stove. The whole collection looks very nice. She had a good eye for decor.

Yup .1940 - 1959... Nothing collectible...but a good user pan after it's cleaned up.

#3 makes a good ash tray...lol

I didn't know skillets could be wall hangers lol. I don't know if I've ever used anything but cast iron skillets to cook in
