Are we going the way of Rhodesia or are we turning it around?

We're not close to that level... yet.

The U.S will Balkanize, when is the only question. We're already seeing people move to states to better match their political alliance, selective prosecution, selective enforcement.

We've been divided into groups battling each other instead of coming together and solving problems. Those that have divided us are hoping we never come back together as one. Where it's going to end I don't know.

what binds Americans? It's not culture, its not ancestry, its not common vision, no religion. Without a binder people will drift apart.

The only thing binding Americans these days is cheese.

Rhodesia was destroyed from without. It was the USSR/socialists funding outside agitators to wage war on the Anglo settlers and educated blacks. The world turned it's back to avoid being called racist.

The world didn't turn its back, if they'd done that the Rhodesians would of won. The world including the U.S waged economic war against the Rhodesians. The economic blockade is what turned the war into a commie victory.

One of those guys appears to be an old friend of mine who spent several years in the Rhodesian SAS in the 1970's. I have a book about those guys but had not seen that particular picture and was just curious.

Selous Scouts are the elite of the Rhodesia Military, have some books with lets say interesting tales from some who served in them.
